Manufacturers can't review themselves. Competing brands can't review each other without bias. Affiliate review sites are optimizing for commission. We're an installation crew — we've put up kits from every brand on our install list, and our install price is the same number regardless of whose logo is on the crate. That's the whole reason these reviews exist: someone in this niche should be able to tell you what the cover actually weighs, what ships missing from the box, and which warranty terms are real — without a sales agenda attached.

Every review follows the same 14-section rubric: who buys the brand, company background, cover / frame / hardware reality, warranty truth, spec-adjusted pricing, best fit, worst fit, field notes from our installs, comparable alternatives, and a buyer FAQ. Every brand gets an honest "worst fit" section — including the one we have a commercial relationship with.

Max Contractors is an independent installation company. We are not a dealer for, sponsored by, or affiliated with the manufacturers whose products we install — brand names are used only to identify the kits we work on. Where a commercial relationship exists, we disclose it. MaxCon has a commercial relationship with MAX Storage Buildings; this does not affect our pricing or which brands we install.

TMG Industrial
Catalogue kit seller

Broad catalogue and dealer availability, but spec-adjusted pricing at the high end of the segment, a lighter standard cover, and a 1-year warranty. The numbers, side by side.

Uncle Wiener's Wholesale
Catalogue kit seller

Not the budget brand people assume: hot-dip galvanized double-truss frames and covers up to 26.5 oz PVC. The catch is the warranty terms you won't find published anywhere.

Cover-Tech
Custom-spec / engineered builder

The most credentialed manufacturer we install: Canadian-made, CSA A660-10, ISO 9001, CWB-supervised welding. Where the credentials earn their premium — and where the 14 oz standard cover doesn't.

Accu-Steel
Custom-spec / engineered builder

Iowa-built hoop-arch buildings with hot-dip galvanized frames and a 20-year warranty — the longest paper warranty we install. Quote-based pricing, and a fabric spec you'll need to ask for.

VEVOR
Consumer-grade portable shelter

A different product category entirely: small-format tarp-style shelters, 3–5 year covers, stake anchoring. Fine for what it is — wrong for anything you'd call infrastructure.

More reviews are on the way — we're working through every brand on our install list, one honest dossier at a time. If the brand you're researching isn't here yet, its install page covers what we know from the field, or text us and ask directly.
