Bottom Line

Suihe out of Qingdao, China is the single largest OEM behind the budget fabric-building market in North America. Their kits ship under the Gold Mountain retail brand and as white-label product for dozens of resellers. They're solid buildings if you assemble them right — but the documentation is hit or miss, the support is overseas, and missing parts are common. We install Suihe/Gold Mountain at flat-rate pricing by footprint and we plan for the missing-hardware problem as the default.

The brand behind the brands

Suihe Group (Qingdao Suihe Kelley Industry Group) has been manufacturing fabric shelters since 1995. They're the largest fabric tent manufacturer in mainland China and they export across Canada, the US, Australia, and Germany. Their buildings show up under the Suihe name, the Gold Mountain name, and as white-label product for a long list of resellers — Storage Shelter, Premium Storage Buildings, Dynamic Shelters, and a fair number of "no brand at all" auction listings.

If you bought a fabric building from IronPlanet, GovPlanet, eBay, or a Canadian wholesale dealer, and the box says Gold Mountain or Suihe — or just "Storage Shelter" with a Chinese-language manual — it's almost certainly out of this factory. These are solid buildings when assembled correctly. The catch is getting from crate to standing structure: there's no Canadian phone number to call if you're stuck mid-assembly, missing a bolt, or staring at instructions in a language you don't read. That's where we come in.

Common Suihe / Gold Mountain configurations we install

Container shelters too

Suihe and Gold Mountain also manufacture container-mounted shelters — fabric structures designed to sit on top of or between two shipping containers. They're a favourite of auction buyers because they ship compact and don't need a full foundation. We install these too, including the twist-lock mounting, the frame across the container roofs, and the fabric tensioning. Footprint pricing applies — the price is set by the cover dimensions, not by the container substructure underneath.

What to expect with a Suihe kit

Suihe buildings use 1000×1000 denier polyester-coated PVC or PE fabric with UV treatment, hot-dip galvanized steel frames, and bolt connections at every joint. Manufacturer-stated wind load is typically 50 mph, snow load roughly 41 lbs per square foot. Cover service life is 7–10 years on the lighter PE fabric and 12–15 years on the heavier PVC commercial sizes when the install is done right and the early-life re-tighten gets done.

Documentation quality varies widely. Some kits arrive with detailed English manuals. Some come with a parts list and not much else. Some come with nothing at all. Hardware counts can be off, and ordering replacement parts from Qingdao takes weeks if you can reach anyone. We don't rely on manuals. We identify the building by frame type, truss design, fabric weight, and bolt pattern, and we put it up.

What pricing covers

Installation covers full crew, frame assembly, fabric tensioning, doors, and anchoring to your prepared foundation. Equipment (manlifts), travel beyond same-day Alberta drives, and crew lodging on multi-day builds are billed through at cost — no markup.

Pricing is set by footprint, not by brand. A Suihe 40×80 costs the same to install as a TMG or Hills 40×80. The full pricing table is on the homepage. If you bought through auction and you're not sure what to expect, our auction installs page covers the full process; the related Gold Mountain page goes deeper on the retail-side branding.

Written by the MAX Contractors crew. Suihe and Gold Mountain are the brands we put up most often — and we've lost count of how many "no brand at all" white-label imports we've installed that turned out to be Suihe under the wrapper. Frequently Asked Questions

Does Max Contractors install Suihe & Gold Mountain buildings?

Yes. Suihe (and its retail brand Gold Mountain) is the single most common fabric building we install. They're the factory behind a huge share of buildings sold through IronPlanet, GovPlanet, eBay, and the Canadian wholesale dealer network — including many that ship under generic "Storage Shelter" or "Premium Storage Buildings" labels. Same flat pricing as any other brand.

How much does professional installation cost for a Suihe or Gold Mountain building?

Pricing is by footprint, not by brand. The full table runs from 20×40 up to 70×200 on our homepage. The posted price covers full crew, frame assembly, fabric tensioning, doors, and anchoring to your prepared foundation. Equipment (manlifts), travel beyond same-day Alberta drives, and crew lodging on multi-day builds are billed through at cost — no markup.

How do I tell if my building is actually a Suihe?

If your kit shipped from China with hot-dip galvanized tubing, single-truss or double-truss arch frames at 5-foot or 8-foot bay spacing, 1000×1000 denier PE or PVC fabric (commonly 11oz), and Chinese-language documentation — it's almost certainly out of the Suihe factory in Qingdao. The retail brand on the box (Gold Mountain, Storage Shelter, Dynamic Shelters, Premium Storage Buildings, white-label) is just packaging. The frame design is what matters and it's consistent across the brand sticker.

Do you install Suihe container shelters?

Yes. Suihe and Gold Mountain make container-mounted shelters designed to sit between or on top of two shipping containers. They're popular with auction buyers because they ship compact and don't need a full foundation. We install the twist-lock mounting, frame assembly, and fabric tensioning. Footprint pricing applies — the price is set by the cover dimensions, not by the container substructure.

What's the realistic service life on a Suihe cover?

Manufacturer-stated cover life is typically 7–10 years on the 11oz PE/PVC fabric used on the smaller models. In our experience that holds up on Prairie sites with proper tensioning and seasonal maintenance. The PVC covers on the heavier 50×100 and 60×100 commercial sizes run longer — closer to 12–15 years if the building is anchored properly and the early-life re-tighten is done.

What if my Suihe kit is missing parts?

Common with Suihe imports — hardware counts can be off and replacement parts from Qingdao take weeks if you can reach anyone at all. We do a full inventory at the start of the build before lifting starts. Most of the missing hardware is standard imperial or metric size and we keep common pieces on the truck. Anything bigger we source locally before continuing. We don't make you call the factory.
