Professional crew for every Rhino Shelters model — portable garages, round-top storage, peak-style shelters, livestock run-ins. Flat pricing by size, any distributor.
Rhino Shelters has been family-owned in the US since 2001 and ships a triple-stack weave PE cover that punches above its weight on cost. The kits go up fast if you know the tensioning sequence. We install every Rhino model at the flat-rate price on our homepage — doesn't matter if you bought direct, through MDM, eCanopy, or any other distributor.
Rhino Shelters is a US family-run manufacturer that has been producing portable fabric shelters since 2001. Their signature is a triple-stack weave polyethylene fabric — three layers of woven PE laminated together — that holds up better than a single-ply cover at a similar price point. Frames are powder-coated steel with ratchet-tensioned covers.
Rhino sells direct and through a long list of distributors: MDM Shelters, eCanopy.com, ShedsDirect, and several of the big-box online retailers. The lineup runs from 8-ft portable garages up to 30+ ft round-top storage buildings and peak-style livestock shelters.
All of them. The lineup breaks into four rough families and we work on every one:
Rhino sells through a lot of channels. If you bought through MDM Shelters, eCanopy, ShedsDirect, or any other distributor, we install the kit the same way at the same price. We've put up Rhinos sourced from every major reseller — the box label changes, the hardware doesn't.
Two details. First, the triple-stack weave cover is heavier than the marketing photos suggest — DIY crews underestimate it and end up with uneven tension, which leads to fabric creep in the first season. Second, on the larger kits the ratchet ties need to be brought up in a specific sequence; skip ahead and you'll get pooling or wrinkles that don't settle out. These aren't problems for us; they're problems for someone trying to put one up with a buddy and a Saturday.
Portable garages and small round-tops typically go up in a day. 30-ft peak-style buildings: one to two days. Larger storage structures: two days. We confirm the day before we arrive so you know the yard won't be blocked all week.
Installation covers full crew, frame assembly, fabric tensioning, doors, and anchoring to your prepared foundation. Equipment (manlifts), travel beyond same-day Alberta drives, and crew lodging on multi-day builds are billed through at cost — no markup.
Same pricing applies regardless of brand. Find your size, that's your price.
Written by the MAX Contractors crew. We have installed every major fabric-building brand sold in Canada — and a few that show up at auctions without a manufacturer label. Bought a Rhino kit and need a crew? Message us and we will get back same day.

Yes. We install every Rhino Shelters model — portable instant garages, round-top storage shelters, peak-style shelters, and livestock run-ins. It does not matter whether you bought the kit direct from Rhino, through MDM Shelters, eCanopy, ShedsDirect, or another distributor. Install pricing is by footprint, not by where you sourced the kit.
Pricing is set by size, not brand. The full table runs from 20×40 up to 70×200 on our homepage with no hidden fees. The posted price covers crew, frame assembly, fabric tensioning, doors, and anchoring to your prepared foundation. Equipment, travel beyond same-day Alberta drives, and crew lodging on multi-day builds are billed through at cost — no markup.
Not particularly. The round-top and peak-style Rhinos go up quickly because the truss design is simple. The two details that catch DIY crews: the triple-stack weave cover is heavier than it looks and needs a proper tensioning sequence, and the ratchet ties on the larger models require a specific pattern to avoid fabric creep in the first season. Standard kit for us.
Gravel is fine for most Rhino models and is what we recommend for drainage. Compacted gravel pad with appropriate anchoring (auger anchors for gravel, drop-in anchors for concrete). We decide the anchoring plan after looking at your soil type and the building footprint. Concrete is overkill for a portable Rhino Shelter unless you have a specific reason to prefer it.
Level prepared site, all boxes unpacked and parts laid out (Rhino ships in multiple boxes and it is common for one to be buried in the garage), and clear access for the crew. We do a full parts inventory at the start of the day so if anything is missing we flag it before the frame is half up.
Yes. Rhino Shelters show up on auctions and classifieds regularly. Send us photos of what you have, rough dimensions, and any box labels. We have put up enough mystery kits to tell a Rhino frame from a ShelterLogic or a VersaTube within a few minutes of looking at the parts.
