Floor size is the starting point.

A 40 × 80 ft building has 3,200 square feet of floor area. Its insulation quantity is different: the material follows the inside roof and sidewalls, with end walls assessed separately. Roof profile, wall height and openings all matter.

The enquiry form uses feet for building dimensions and inches for optional extra material past the walls. These measurements support the supply review; they are not a cutting list. Confirm the finished material quantity and arrangement before ordering or cutting.

01 / Arch from the ground

A curved building without straight walls

Give the building’s width, length and internal height at the peak. Select “Arch from the ground” in the form. There is no separate straight wall-height field for this shape.

02 / Arch on walls

An arch raised on legs, walls or containers

Give the width, length and peak height measured from the floor. Add the height from the floor to where the arch starts. Identify raised walls or containers in your notes so the support and coverage can be reviewed.

03 / Straight walls, peaked roof

A gabled shop, pole shed or steel building

Give the width, length, wall height to the eave and height at the peak. All heights start at the floor. Add the model or drawings if the roof shape or inside dimensions differ from the nominal kit size.

Decide which surfaces to include.

  • Roof and sidewalls: identify the main continuous interior coverage.
  • Front and back end walls: select one or both and describe the door openings.
  • Extra length past the walls: use inches for a requested skirt or extra coverage, and explain what it is intended to cover.
  • Door curtain: request it separately and give the opening width and height if known. You supply the track and suitable supports.
  • Hanging kit: indicate whether you want the hardware included for review in the quote.

Missing measurements should not stop the enquiry.

Use “Help me measure” to send a request without inventing dimensions or a roof shape. Mention the brand, model and what you can identify. We’ll discuss what is needed for the supply quote.

Have these details ready for follow-up.

Original drawings, a model label and photographs showing the frame and end walls can help identify the structure. Note existing liners, lights, overhead-door tracks and equipment clearances. You do not need to attach documents to start the enquiry; we can arrange the next step after reviewing it.
