Describe the exact building and contents

Share the model, intended use, location, proposed value, and the equipment or materials to be stored. Include any business activities planned inside the building.

Ask what needs to be documented

Find out what the insurer needs concerning the construction, site, installation, anchoring, inspections, and value of the structure and contents. Keep the answers with the project records.

Clarify covered events and exclusions

Ask how the policy treats the risks relevant to your operation and what limits, deductibles, conditions, or exclusions apply. The manufacturer warranty and an insurance policy serve different purposes.

Discuss interruption and recovery

If equipment downtime would affect your business, ask your broker what protection is available for that situation and which conditions apply. Do not infer coverage from a general policy label.

Request the actual premium impact

Ask for a written explanation of any change in premium or coverage. A shelter does not automatically produce a particular discount, and an individual quote may differ from another operator's experience.

Keep the project scope clear

The building kit, base installation, equipment rentals, travel, lodging, site preparation, and other project costs should be identifiable. Use the actual completed project information when updating your records.

Planning an installation?

Published prices cover base installation. Equipment rentals, travel, and lodging are additional and are calculated after we discuss the kit, site, location, and schedule with you.
