Bottom Line

We install every Cover-Tech product line and their replacement covers (for Cover-Tech frames and for most competitor brands) at the flat-rate price on our homepage.

Cover-Tech — Canadian-Made, CSA Certified

Cover-Tech out of Woodstock, New Brunswick is one of the few eastern-Canadian fabric-building manufacturers with a serious presence on the prairies. Their fabric buildings span 36 to 80 ft widths and are engineered to the National Building Code and New Brunswick Building Code. They hold ISO 9001 and CSA A660-10 certifications for steel-framed building systems — the second one matters a lot when you're trying to get a municipal permit in a county that's tightened up on fabric structures.

Cover-Tech also manufactures a strong lineup of portable garages, trailer enclosures, and — the product that quietly keeps them busy — replacement fabric covers for almost any brand. If your TMG, Accu-Steel, or ClearSpan building has a UV-blown cover, Cover-Tech can manufacture a replacement and we'll install it.

All of them. The lineup we see most often:

Why CSA A660-10 changes the permit conversation

CSA A660-10 is the Canadian standard for steel-framed building systems. Prairie counties (and especially the bigger ones — Strathcona, Rocky View, Sturgeon) have been tightening up on what qualifies as a permittable fabric building. A CSA-certified kit is pre-engineered to the Canadian code, so the permit package is usually thinner and cheaper than trying to get a non-certified import through the same process. If you're going through a permitted build, Cover-Tech saves you engineering time and money. We build to the certified spec so the structure matches what's on the stamped drawings.

Replacement covers are a real option

PVC-coated fabric has a useful life — depending on cover weight, UV exposure, and how well the original was tensioned, 10–15 years is a reasonable ballpark. When the cover goes, the frame is usually still fine. Replacing the cover alone typically runs 30–50% of the cost of a new building. Cover-Tech manufactures covers for their own frames and for most competitors, and we install them on-site. Message us photos of the building and the frame spec and we will confirm fit.

How long does a Cover-Tech install take?

Depends on size. A 36×60 commercial building: 2 days. A 60×100: 3 days. A re-cover on an existing 50×100 frame: typically 1–2 days if the frame is sound. We confirm the schedule the day before we load so you know what to expect.

Installation covers full crew, frame assembly, fabric tensioning, doors, and anchoring to your prepared foundation. Equipment (manlifts), travel beyond same-day Alberta drives, and crew lodging on multi-day builds are billed through at cost — no markup.

Written by the MAX Contractors crew. We have installed every major fabric-building brand sold in Canada — and a few that show up at auctions without a manufacturer label. MaxCon has a commercial relationship with MAX Storage Buildings; this does not affect our pricing or which brands we install. Bought a Cover-Tech kit and need a crew? Message us and we will get back same day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Max Contractors install Cover-Tech fabric buildings?

Yes. We install every Cover-Tech product line — the 36–80 ft commercial fabric buildings, portable garages, trailer enclosures, and replacement fabric covers for any brand. Cover-Tech is manufactured in Woodstock, New Brunswick and the kits ship to spec, so build day is typically clean.

How much does professional installation cost for a Cover-Tech building?

Pricing is set by size, not brand. The full table runs from 20×40 up to 70×200 on our homepage, no hidden fees. The posted price covers crew, frame assembly, fabric tensioning, doors, and anchoring to your prepared foundation. Equipment, travel beyond same-day Alberta drives, and crew lodging on multi-day builds are billed through at cost — no markup.

Do you handle Cover-Tech replacement fabric covers?

Yes. Cover-Tech manufactures replacement fabric for their own buildings and for most competitor brands — TMG, Accu-Steel, ClearSpan, and others. We install the new cover on your existing frame, including proper tensioning and re-anchoring. If your original cover is UV-damaged or torn, a re-cover is usually 30–50% cheaper than replacing the whole building. Message us with photos of the frame and rough dimensions and we will confirm.

Why does Cover-Tech's CSA A660-10 certification matter for my permit?

CSA A660-10 is the Canadian standard for steel-framed building systems. If your municipality requires engineering sign-off on a fabric building — and many prairie counties now do, especially for commercial or ag use above a certain footprint — a CSA-certified kit simplifies the permit process. The structure is already certified to the Canadian building code; your engineer or permit reviewer can sign off on the system instead of requiring a full custom engineering package. We build to the certified spec so nothing drifts out of tolerance.

What should I have ready before my Cover-Tech installation?

A level prepared pad (compacted gravel or concrete to the manufacturer spec), every frame section and the fabric roll staged and unpacked, and clear access for the crew and manlift. Cover-Tech's packing lists are usually accurate, but we still do a full parts check with you at the start so any discrepancy gets flagged before assembly.

Do you install Cover-Tech buildings across Canada?

Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba are regular territory for us. For builds east of the prairies, message us — we take eastern Canada jobs case by case depending on the build size and schedule. Travel beyond our same-day Alberta drive zone is billed through at cost with no markup.
