Professional crew for every Kit Buildings product line — dome shelters, double-truss commercial, container shelters, livestock. Flat pricing by size.
Kit Buildings is a UK-based manufacturer with Canadian warehouse stock, running 610 g/m² fire-retardant PVC on hot-galvanised steel. The kits are sound. The DIY assembly is where customers get stuck. We install every Kit model at the flat-rate price on our homepage — same price whether you bought the kit new, secondhand, or from a Kit Buildings auction lot.
Kit Buildings supplies steel-framed, PVC-clad fabric structures out of warehouses in Canada, the US, the UK, and Germany. Their standard fabric is 610 g/m² PVC, fire-retardant, UV-resistant, and frames are hot-galvanised steel. That puts them in the middle of the pack on fabric weight — lighter than the 750 g commercial kits but heavier than the 450–550 g hobby-grade tarps.
Every Kit ships with assembly instructions, and the manufacturer offers installation "if required." In Western Canada that "if required" wait has been running two to three months through busy season. If you need a crew on a specific date — before haying, before the snow comes, before the equipment auction — that is what we are for.
All of them. Kit's catalogue breaks into four main categories and we work on every one:
We also handle reinstalls — if a previous crew tensioned the fabric wrong or the structure needs to move to a new pad, same flat rate applies.
Size-dependent, but for planning: a 30×40 dome typically goes up in one day with our crew. A 50×100 double-truss runs 2–3 days. A container shelter between two sea-cans is usually a one-day job once the cans are positioned. We confirm the schedule before we arrive so your yard is not blocked for a week of guessing.
Happens on every brand at some point, Kit included. We do a full parts inventory at the start of every install. Something missing? We source it locally the same day or rig a temporary fix so the frame keeps going up, then swap in the replacement when Kit ships it. Your build does not sit idle waiting on a phone call to the UK.
Full crew, manlifts and rigging equipment, frame assembly with correct torquing, PVC fabric tensioning to manufacturer spec, all doors hung (winch and man doors), and anchoring to your prepared foundation. We finish with a walk-through and a brief on seasonal checks before we leave the site.
Installation covers full crew, frame assembly, fabric tensioning, doors, and anchoring to your prepared foundation. Equipment (manlifts), travel beyond same-day Alberta drives, and crew lodging on multi-day builds are billed through at cost — no markup.
Same pricing applies regardless of brand. Find your size, that's your price.
Written by the MAX Contractors crew. We have installed every major fabric-building brand sold in Canada — and a few that show up at auctions without a manufacturer label. Questions about your specific Kit Buildings model? Message us and we will get back same day.

Yes. We install every Kit Buildings product line — dome and round PVC shelters, double-truss steel buildings, container shelters, and livestock/agricultural models. Kit Buildings is UK-based but warehouses in Canada, so delivery is reasonable. Our pricing is by footprint, not brand, so the rate on our homepage applies regardless of which Kit model you bought.
Installation pricing is set by your building size, not the brand or fabric weight. The full table is on our homepage — every size from 20×40 up to 70×200 with no surprise fees. The published price covers crew, frame assembly, fabric tensioning, doors, and anchoring to your prepared foundation. Equipment, travel beyond same-day Alberta drives, and crew lodging on multi-day builds are billed through at cost with no markup.
Kit Buildings offers installation "if required," but availability varies by region and season. In Western Canada we regularly get calls from customers who were quoted a three-month wait by the manufacturer. We show up on your date. Same kit, same spec, faster.
A level site with proper drainage (compacted gravel pad is standard), every crate unpacked and inventoried, and clear access for the crew and a manlift. We do a parts check with you at the start of the day so anything missing gets flagged before we are mid-assembly — not at 4 PM when the store is closed.
Yes. Container shelters (the ones that span between two sea-cans as walls) are a Kit Buildings specialty and a common call for us. Main thing: the sea-cans need to be close enough to the correct distance apart and reasonably level. We do a site check before we load the truck so the first day is not a measuring exercise.
Yes. Send us photos of the crate, any labels, and the rough dimensions. We have opened enough unlabelled kits to identify a Kit Buildings frame once the parts are on the ground. Install pricing stays the same — it is based on footprint, not on whether the kit is new.
